Glen Flagler was produced as a single malt and marketed principally to the Italian market, although the reason for the change to the continuous still in 1969 was to produce a whisky suitable for the American market.
Glen Flagler Distillery only existed from 1965 to 1985. It was located within the Moffat Grain complex. The Distillery co-existed with another pot distillery on the same site, the rare Killyloch. Glen Flagler had six stills and, interestingly, the wash still was replaced by a continuous still in 1969. |
