Amrut Fusion single malt whisky is named after a fusion of Indian and Scottish barleys geographically wide apart. The bulk of the barley originating from the feet of the great Himalayas and the rest peated barley from Scotland. Both mashed and and distilled independently at 3000 feet in Bangalore, then matured in old and new American oak barrels before being married together to give a 'Fusion' of east and west. Bottled at 50%abv.

Amrut single malt whisky was the first whisky distilled in India to be released on to the UK market. Because of the hot climate (and therefore higher evaporation during maturation) Amrut is bottled at the relatively young age of 3 to 4 years but despite this is a very palatable whisky that was described by Jim Murray as a 'solid, honest whisky with a non-scotch flourish at the finish.'
