The Auchentoshan 'Classic' Single Malt Whisky has been triple distilled and matured solely in American bourbon casks resulting in a Lowland single malt whisky with sweet aromas of vanilla, coconut and the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.
Now on the outskirts of Glasgow, when the distillery was first built in 1823 it was some miles from the city. It is a traditional Lowland malt in that it is triple distilled, in fact it's the only Lowland Distillery left that triple distills. The spirit from the wash still emerges at 18%, 54% from the intermediate still and 81% from the spirit still. It has always been highly regarded.
Auchentoshan means 'Corner of the field' in Gaelic.
