This Benriach 1997 14 year old Single Cask Madeira finish was bottled in December 2011 at 55.7%abv having been matured in the traditional style in American bourbon barrels, then ‘finished’ in a ‘Henriques and Henriques’ Madeira Hogshead number 7592. Each bottle is numbered.
This release was bottled for the Kings Royal Hussars Regiment of the British Army and only 350 bottles will be available, most of which will be sold within the regiment. We are therefore really fortunate that an allocation of these bottles has been made available exclusively to Arkwrights for sale to the general public via both our shop in Wiltshire and online.
It is the second release by the Regiment who are due to deploy to Afghanistan in 2012. The majority of the profits from this release sold by us will be donated to the charity set up by the Kings Royal Hussars in support of their soldiers (The KRH Appeal). We both support them wholeheartedly.
OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES
