The Benromach Pago Capellanes Picon Wood Finish was distilled in 2002 then finished for 24 months in Picon Wood casks before being bottled in August 2009 at 45%abv.
1200 bottles were filled.
Founded in 1898, this imposing distillery lay silent and empty for a number of years and suffered many closures and changes in ownership prior to 1993, when malt whisky specialists, Gordon & MacPhail, rescued it. They set about an extensive re-installation programme to bring Benromach back to its former glory. HRH Prince of Wales officially re-opened the distillery in its Centenary year.
