This North British 1989 Single Grain Whisky from Scott's Selection range of whiskies, was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2011 at a cask strength of 54%abv.

North British Distillery was founded in 1885 (coming on stream in 1887) as a Single Grain Distillery by a group of independent distillers for their own blends.

Designed to produce 114,000 litres per week it now produces 1.25 million litres per week!

The distillery has it's own maltings using only maize with a high percentage of green malt. Used in such blends as Chivas Regal, Famous Grouse and J&B.
